Below, you will find a list of the questions most frequently asked by our guests.
Heading north or south on the A82 – The Beach House is accessed by taking the turn off for The Inn on Loch Lomond Hotel, on driving into the hotel car park straight ahead there is a small access road that leads down to The Beach House. Follow this access road which leads you towards a tunnel that takes you through and underneath the A82 – on coming out of the tunnel you will have reached the parking area and accommodation for The Beach House.
Our recommendation is that all guests arrive to check in at The Lodge on Loch Lomond then drive the further 3 miles to reach your accommodation.
If you can only arrive straight to The Beach House then we can arrange for a Digital Check-in – give us a telephone call ahead of your arrival on the day of your stay perhaps when you are en-route – calling 01436 860678, if you have pre-paid everything in regards to your stay and have already downloaded our App to your mobile phone you could then go straight to The Beach House and use the “Get Key” digital key functionality to access your room. You will need your reservation number to access your digital key.
You can check in from 3pm at The Lodge on Loch Lomond. The hotel app will only allow you to do so after this time. Should you wish to arrive early you will need to liaise with our team on res@loch-lomond.co.uk or call ahead on 01436 860678 and it will very much depend on the turnover on that day and whether this would be a possibility – we cannot guarantee any further in advance.
As a rough guide, the check-out time is 11am. If you would like a late check out kindly let us know your departure time and we can advise if possible. A charge of £10 per agreed hour after our check out time of 11am will apply.
We have a Reception Team available at The Lodge on Loch Lomond from 7am until 11pm – then a Nightporter Service throughout the night. All can be contacted on 01436 860160.
English
Yes, we can look after your luggage however that would be at The Lodge on Loch Lomond. You will not have access to the Beach House out with check in and check out times.
A wireless internet connection is available throughout the hotel.

The nearest airport is Glasgow, Scotland which is located around 27 miles away. There is also Glasgow Prestwick Airport which is around 58 miles away.
The nearest rail station is Balloch rail station, Scotland which is located around 12 miles away.
The nearest main bus stop to reach The Beach House is at Luss on the main A82 road, however this is 3 miles away – there is a pathway that runs along the loch side however is quite a walk of approx. 40 minutes
There are some buses that stop at The Inn on Loch Lomond bus stop which is a short stroll to The Beach House.
The nearest bus stop to reach The Beach House from Balloch is around an 18 minute walk from Balloch rail station on Lower Stoneymollan Road, Alexandria
Yes, if you have arrived at Balloch rail station you can book a taxi prior, or pick up a taxi at the rail station. Some companies available are Haldane Rank, Wright Taxies and TAO Taxies Alexandria.
Our first recommendation for dining is the main resort hotel The Lodge on Loch Lomond – if you have an inclusive offer with The Beach House that includes dinner or morning tea – these dining experiences must be reserved with The Lodge on Loch Lomond. The Inn on Loch Lomond is a short stroll away from The Beach House and can be booked for dining however any booking there would be charged as an additional expense.
The beach house is located on the western shores of Loch Lomond at Inverbeg – just 3 miles north from Luss and 5 miles south from Tarbet. So many places to visit and enjoy the best of the area. Our top recommendations would be the following:

Luss Village
The pretty conservation village of Luss is only a 10 minute drive away from The Beach House (3 miles South). A member of our reception staff at The Lodge on Loch Lomond will be more than happy to direct you towards the village.
A settlement has stood on this site since medieval times although much of the current village dates from the 18th and 19th centuries, having been developed to house workers from nearby slate quarries.
With its prim, identical sandstone and slate cottages garlanded in rambling roses, and its narrow sandy, pebbly strand, the village became the setting for the successful TV soap ‘Take the High Road’ which undoubtedly contributed to its popularity during the 1980s and 1990s. For anyone wanting to escape the crowds, the 19th century parish church offers a haven of peace and has a lovely ceiling made from Scots pine rafters and some beautiful Victorian stained-glass windows.
Luss is a popular stopping-off point for visitors exploring the Loch Lomond area. You will find a visitor centre for tourist information on Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park in Luss car park. There are several shops and refreshment facilities located within the village.
